Sensory Garden - Oklahoma State University
The garden allows persons with all types of disabilities the opportunity to experience nature. The garden is designed with raised planting beds and includes plant material to stimulate the five senses: smell, touch, taste, sight and sound. Gardening tips and suggestions for people with disabilities will be available to those interested in planning their own home gardens. A covered pavilion will serve not only as an outside classroom but as a place of rest and contemplation while enjoying the Oklahoma State University Horticulture Gardens.
The Sensory Garden is currently under construction and is expected to be completed by the end of 2011. The following pictures were taken on May 13th, 2010.
